North Carolina High School Basketball - Providence falls to A.L. Brown

January 4, 2019: Kannapolis, NC 28083

In Friday's non-league match, the host A.L. Brown Wonders basketball team scored a good 62-51 triumph over the Providence Panthers.

In their next game, the Wonders meet the Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) in a South Piedmont 3A match, on Tuesday, January 8. A.L. Brown will attempt to move on its 11-1 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 4-10 record after their 78-58 non-league win over West Stanly (Oakboro, NC).

With the defeat, Providence moves to 2-11 on the year. The Panthers host West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Hawks in a South Meck 7 4A match on Tuesday, January 8. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 3-7. West Mecklenburg lost 72-45 in their recent league match against Olympic (Charlotte, NC)
