The Metter Tigers football team (Metter, GA), was tipped 21-17 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA)

The Sharks (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Calvary Day (Savannah, GA). The Cavaliers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Calvary Day nipped Johnson (Savannah, GA), 20-12, in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jenkins County for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 6. Metter will meet a War Eagles team coming off a 14-6 non-league loss to Windsor Forest (Savannah, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
