The William Allen Canaries (Allentown, PA) basketball held off the visiting Easton Area Rovers (Easton, PA), 72-69 in Friday's league battle.

The Canaries now possess a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Malvern Prep for a non-league battle on Sunday, January 26. William Allen will confront a Friars team coming off a 74-59 non-league win over West Catholic (Philadelphia, PA). The Friars record now stands at 14-4.

The Rovers (14-4) will now prepare for their battle against Liberty (Bethlehem, PA). The Hurricanes come into the Eastern Pennsylvania - Steel test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Liberty got by William Allen (Allentown, PA), 74-73, in a league test.
