North Carolina High School Basketball - Cherryville overwhelmed by Polk County
December 4, 2018: Columbus, NC 28722 The Polk County Wolverines basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Cherryville Ironmen to 15 in the Wolverines non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Wolverines now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland School of Technology for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 5. Polk County will battle a Rams team coming off a 57-24 non-league loss to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Rams record now stands at 1-5.
The Ironmen (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sugar Creek Charter School (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Sugar Creek Charter School triumphed over Christ the King (Huntersville, NC), 48-45, in a non-league contest.
