Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Caprock Longhorns (Amarillo, TX), 3-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Sandies confront the Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region 1 District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, February 12. Amarillo will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Plainsmen enter the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 4-0 league loss to Cooper (Lubbock, TX).

The Longhorns now possess a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palo Duro for a 5A Region 1 District 3 challenge on Monday, February 11. Caprock will confront a Dons team coming off a 4-0 league win over Lubbock (Lubbock, TX). The Dons record now stands at 6-5.
