In Friday's non-league challenge, the Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) baseball squad triumphed over the host Pinnacle Pioneers (Phoenix, AZ), by a final score of 14-5.

With the win, Desert Vista upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Thunder travel to Williams Field (Gilbert, AZ) to battle the Black Hawks in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 13. The Black Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Williams Field won 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ)

With the defeat, Pinnacle falls to 6-3 on the season. The Pioneers host Liberty (Peoria, AZ) to battle the Lions in a 6A Desert Valley challenge on Tuesday, March 14. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Liberty lost 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ)
