In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting McCool Junction Mustangs basketball team scored a decisive 61-26 triumph over the Meridian Mustangs.

In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles (Bruning, NE) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, January 24. McCool Junction will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 12-4 record after their 75-66 non-league win over Exeter-Milligan (Exeter, NE).
