North Carolina High School Football - Tuscola topples Smoky Mountain

September 21, 2018: Sylva, NC 28779

The Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC) football defeated the host Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), 35-13 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Mountaineers face the A.C. Reynolds Rockets (Asheville, NC) in a Western Mountain 3A bout, on Friday, September 28. Tuscola will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Rockets enter the bout with a 5-1 record after their 47-7 league win over North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).

The Mustangs (4-1) will now prepare for their bout against Madison (Marshall, NC). The Patriots enter the non-league bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Madison lost by East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC), 21-12, in a non-league bout.
