August 27, 2010: Rock Hill, SC 29732 In Friday's non-league game, the Northwestern Trojans (Rock Hill, SC) football team knocked off the visiting South Pointe Stallions (Rock Hill, SC), by a final score of 42-20.
The Trojans (1-0) will now prepare for their game against York (York, SC). The Cougars come into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, York was dropped by Broome (Spartanburg, SC), 21-13, in a non-league game.
The Stallions now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Independence for a non-league game on Friday, September 3. South Pointe will battle a Patriots team coming off a 26-6 non-league loss to Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 0-1.
