California High School Softball - Don Lugo can't hold off Montclair

Montclair HS Grabs Lead in Fifth Inning for Victory Over Don Lugo. Montclair HS took the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over Don Lugo on Friday. The game was tied at three with Montclair HS batting in the bottom of the fifth when Crystal Amaral induced Karen Herrera to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Montclair HS took an early lead in the first inning. Herrera grounded out, scoring one run. After Don Lugo scored one run in the top of the second, Montclair HS answered with one of their own. Montclair HS then answered when Ariana Noguer doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Brandi McKeehan was credited with the victory for Montclair HS. She lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out three. Rayanne LaBeau led Montclair HS with two hits in four at bats. Montclair HS didn't commit a single error in the field. Jayden Diaz had 11 chances in the field, the most on the team.
