Georgia High School Basketball - Woodward Academy tops Wesleyan
January 6, 2018: Norcross, GA 30092 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Woodward Academy War Eagles (College Park, GA) and the host Wesleyan Wolves (Norcross, GA), saw Woodward Academy's basketball squad knock off Wesleyan by a tally of 56-37.
With the victory, Woodward Academy improves its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The War Eagles host Henry County (McDonough, GA) to play the Warhawks in a AAAA Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Warhawks come into the challenge with a record of 10-7. Henry County won 76-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Locust Grove (Locust Grove, GA)
Next up, the Wolves play the Paideia Pythons (Atlanta, GA) in a A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Wesleyan will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Pythons come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 60-52 league loss to Southwest Atlanta Christian (Atlanta, GA).
