Indiana High School Softball - Bremen bounces LaVille
March 31, 2021: Bremen, IN 46506 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Bremen Lions (Bremen, IN) and the visiting LaVille Lancers (Lakeville, IN), saw Bremen's softball squad achieve victory over LaVille by a count of 16-4.
The Lions now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host South Bend Clay for a Northern Indiana match on Tuesday, April 13.
With the loss, LaVille falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lancers host New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 6. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 0-1.
Game Summary
Bremen erupted for 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning after LaVille had scored two runs in the top of the first on the way to a 16-4 win on 3/31. Mickie Shively had 4 hits including her second home run of the year, and scored three runs as did Paige Thompson & Naomi Flores. Jaylin Swing added a two-run HR for the Lions. Winning pitcher Hanna Depoy picked up the win from the circle and added two hits as did Ellia Foster.
