The Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) soccer bounced the host McDowell Titans (Marion, NC), 9-3 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

With the victory, Freedom advances its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to play the Spartans in a 3A/4A Northwestern outing on Monday, September 8. The Spartans go into the outing with a record of 1-2.

In their next game, the Titans play the Thomas Jefferson Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, September 3. McDowell will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Gryphons go into the outing with a 2-0 record after their 6-0 non-league win over North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).
