Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Ponca Indians (Ponca, NE) and the host Wakefield Trojans (Wakefield, NE), saw Ponca's basketball squad overcome Wakefield by a tally of 56-43.

With the victory, Ponca improves its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Elk Point-Jefferson (Elk Point, SD) to confront the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 11. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Elk Point-Jefferson lost 63-26 in their recent league challenge against Lennox (Lennox, SD)

Next up, the Trojans confront the Lawton-Bronson Eagles (Lawton, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 10. Wakefield will attempt to improve on its 9-1 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 59-57 league win over Kingsley-Pierson (Kingsley, IA).
