North Carolina High School Basketball - Salisbury fells Lexington Senior

Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lexington Senior Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC), 72-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Salisbury upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Hornets host Central Davidson (Lexington, NC) to play the Spartans in a Central Carolina 2A bout on Tuesday, January 29. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Central Davidson won 66-52 in their recent league bout against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Ledford Senior Panthers (Thomasville, NC) in a Central Carolina 2A bout, on Tuesday, January 29. Lexington Senior will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 63-52 league win over Thomasville (Thomasville, NC).
