California High School Basketball - Twentynine Palms can't hold off Yucca Valley
January 22, 2014: Twentynine Palms, CA 92277 The Yucca Valley Trojans basketball team scored 81 points and held the host Twentynine Palms Wildcats to 76 in the Trojans league triumph on Wednesday.
The Trojans now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shadow Hills for a De Anza contest on Friday, January 24. Yucca Valley will battle a Knights team coming off a 55-34 league win over Desert Mirage (Thermal, CA). The Knights record now stands at 8-8.
The Wildcats (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Desert Hot Springs (Desert Hot Springs, CA). The Golden Eagles enter the De Anza contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Desert Hot Springs was nudged by Big Bear (Big Bear City, CA), 68-24, in a league contest.
