East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, East Union upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Urchins travel to Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS) to battle the Warriors in a non-league test on Saturday, March 4. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 4-0. Pontotoc won 13-1 in their recent non-league battle against Lafayette (Oxford, MS)

The Commodores now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pontotoc for a non-league battle on Friday, March 3. Lafayette will play a Warriors squad coming off a 14-4 non-league win over Hickory Flat (Hickory Flat, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 3-0.
