The Valley Pirates basketball team scored 62 points and held the host St. Johns Redskins to 56 in the Pirates league triumph on Monday.

The Pirates now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Round Valley for a 2A North contest on Thursday, January 30. Valley will meet a Elks team coming off a 98-43 league loss to Alchesay (Whiteriver, AZ). The Elks record now stands at 6-12.

The Redskins (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against Alchesay (Whiteriver, AZ). The Falcons enter the 2A North contest with a 18-3 record. In their last contest, Alchesay nudged Round Valley (Eagar, AZ), 98-43, in a league contest.
