The Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) basketball crushed the host Apex Cougars (Apex, NC), 61-33 in Friday's league test.

The Mustangs (10-10) will now prepare for their test against Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Bengals go into the South Wake 4A test with a 6-13 record. In their last test, Fuquay - Varina walloped Garner Magnet (Garner, NC), 46-43, in a league test.

The Cougars now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they host Holly Springs for a South Wake 4A test on Tuesday, January 30. Apex will encounter a Golden Hawks squad coming off a 85-51 league win over Apex Friendship (Apex, NC). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 13-5.
