Buchanan Bears (Clovis, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they observed their basketball team prevail over the visiting Central Grizzlies (Fresno, CA), 59-46 in a league match.

In their next game, the Bears meet the Clovis West Golden Eagles (Fresno, CA) in a Tri-Rivers match, on Tuesday, January 21. Buchanan will attempt to better on its 12-10 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the match with a 19-3 record after their 70-69 non-league win over Bakersfield Christian (Bakersfield, CA).

With the defeat, Central drops to 11-7 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Redwood (Visalia, CA) to clash with the Rangers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Redwood lost 66-54 in their recent league bout against Golden West (Visalia, CA)
