In Friday's non-league outing, the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) basketball squad nipped the visiting East Montgomery Eagles (Biscoe, NC), by a margin of 73-70.

The Vikings (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 1-0 record.

The Eagles now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Gray Stone Day for a 1A Yadkin Valley match on Tuesday, December 4. East Montgomery will confront a Knights team coming off a 97-56 non-league loss to Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC). The Knights record now stands at 0-4.
