The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets football team (Bessemer City, NC), was ripped 48-8 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC)

The Yellow Jackets now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cherryville for a Southern Piedmont 1A challenge on Friday, April 9. Bessemer City will meet a Ironmen team coming off a 20-10 league loss to Christ the King (Huntersville, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 1-5.
