Pennsylvania High School Softball - Northern Cambria bounces Homer-Center
May 7, 2018: Homer City, PA 15748 The Northern Cambria Colts routed the host Homer-Center Wildcats softball squad by a count of 6-1 in Monday's league battle.
The Colts (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against West Shamokin (Rural Valley, PA). The Wolves go into the Heritage battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, West Shamokin nudged Penns Manor (Clymer, PA), 11-0, in a league battle.
The Wildcats now sport a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Indiana for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 8. Homer-Center will meet a Little Indians squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Butler (Butler, PA). The Little Indians record now stands at 10-5.
Game Summary
The Northern Cambria Lady Colts travelled to Homer Center to take on the Lady Wildcats and came away with a 6-1 win. Kaitlyn Kudlawiec was the winning pitcher for the colts tossing a six hit complete game victory. The lady wildcats of Homer Center managed one run on 6 scattered hits while the Lady Colts blasted eleven hits scoring 6 unanswered runs in the contest. Sydney Sheredy led all Colts hitters going three for four with A single, two doubles a stolen base, an RBI and scoring two runs. The nine win one loss Lady Colts will host a double header Tuesday afternoon and evening against the ladies from West Shamokin starting at four pm.
