Illinois High School Softball - Liberty bounces Brown County
April 26, 2019: Mt. Sterling, IL 62353 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Liberty Eagles (Liberty, IL) and the host Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL), witnessed Liberty's softball squad tip Brown County by a count of 12-6.
The Eagles now sport a 6-10 record. They play next when they host West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] for a non-league match on Wednesday, May 1.
With the loss, Brown County moves to 8-17 on the season. The Hornets travel to Astoria/VIT (Astoria, IL) to meet the Rebels in a non-league match on Monday, April 29. The Rebels go into the match with a record of 1-15. Astoria/VIT lost 9-3 in their recent league match against Farmington (Farmington, IL)
