The Clearwater/Orchard Cyclones basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack to 45 in the Cyclones league victory on Thursday.

The Cyclones now sport a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boyd County for a D1 District 6 contest on Friday, February 15. Clearwater/Orchard will battle a Spartans team coming off a 60-52 league win over Niobrara/Verdigre (Niobrara, NE). The Spartans record now stands at 14-5.

The Wolfpack (2-16) will now prepare for their contest against Ewing (Ewing, NE). The Tigers come into the D2 District 5 contest with a 1-18 record. In their last contest, Ewing was defeated by Stuart (Stuart, NE), 45-35, in a league contest.
