In Saturday's non-league outing, the Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) basketball squad edged the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), by a margin of 58-56.

The Cougars (12-7) will now prepare for their outing against Liberty (Clarksburg, WV). The Mountaineers go into the Big Ten outing with a 5-15 record.

The Grizzlies now own a 11-6 record. They play next when they travel to George Washington for a non-league outing on Wednesday, February 13. Nicholas County will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 79-62 league win over Capital (Charleston, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 17-2.
