Northwest Falcons (Shiprock, NM) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Red Valley/Cove Miners (Red Valley, AZ), 67-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northwest upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Falcons host Whitehorse (Montezuma Creek, UT) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 11. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 4-2.

Next up, the Miners play the Red Mesa Redskins (Teec Nos Pos, AZ) in a 1A North bout, on Tuesday, December 4. Red Valley/Cove will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Redskins come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 52-31 non-league win over Greyhills Academy (Tuba City, AZ).
