In Thursday's league game, the Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC) football team smashed the host First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), by a final score of 60-13.

The Knights (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Hunt (Wilson, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Hunt was overwhelmed by Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC), 28-0, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Nighthawks play the Benedictine Cadets (Richmond, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 19. First Flight will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Cadets go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 28-7 non-league win over Collegiate (Richmond, VA).
