Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles (Bruning, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Meridian Mustangs (Daykin, NE), 58-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Eagles host Thayer Central (Hebron, NE) to clash with the Titans in a C2 District 2 bout on Monday, February 18. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 2-18. Thayer Central lost 51-48 in their recent non-league bout against Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Deshler Dragons (Deshler, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 19. Meridian will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 13-8 record after their 45-31 league win over Lawrence-Nelson (Nelson, NE).
