Tri County Area Vikings (Howard City, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Newaygo Lions (Newaygo, MI), 66-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Tri County Area upgrades its record to 3-9 on the season. The Vikings travel to Fremont (Fremont, MI) to play the Packers in a Central State - Gold bout on Tuesday, January 15. The Packers go into the bout with a record of 8-1. Fremont won 66-48 in their recent league bout against Grant (Grant, MI)

Next up, the Lions play the Grant Tigers (Grant, MI) in a Central State - Gold bout, on Tuesday, January 15. Newaygo will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 66-48 league loss to Fremont (Fremont, MI).
