The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ), observed Mountain Pointe's football squad thwart Highland by a count of 48-27.

The Pride now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Desert Vista for a 6A Central contest on Friday, October 5. Mountain Pointe will play a Thunder squad coming off a 27-3 league win over Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ). The Thunder record now stands at 5-1.

Coming up next, the Hawks play the Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ) in a 6A Central contest, on Friday, October 5. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Aztecs go into the contest with a 1-7 record after their 45-24 league loss to Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ).
