Thatcher Eagles (Thatcher, AZ) followers went home content Saturday as they observed their basketball team nudge the host Snowflake Lobos (Snowflake, AZ), 40-38 in a non-league game.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Tombstone Yellow Jackets (Tombstone, AZ) in a 2A East game, on Tuesday, January 16. Thatcher will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the game with a 2-15 record after their 41-26 league loss to Willcox (Willcox, AZ).

With the defeat, Snowflake moves to 8-12 on the year. The Lobos host Blue Ridge (Lakeside, AZ) to face the Yellow Jackets in a 3A East game on Tuesday, January 16. The Yellow Jackets enter the game with a record of 6-13. Blue Ridge lost 45-36 in their recent league game against Payson (Payson, AZ)
