California High School Football - Liberty can't get by Pittsburg

Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, CA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Liberty Lions (Brentwood, CA), 31-29 in a league test.

With the triumph, Pittsburg improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Deer Valley (Antioch, CA) to confront the Wolverines in a Bay Valley test on Friday, October 14. The Wolverines come into the test with a record of 0-6. Deer Valley lost 61-16 in their recent league test against Antioch (Antioch, CA)

With the loss, Liberty drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Lions host Freedom (Oakley, CA) to confront the Falcons in a Bay Valley test on Friday, October 14. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 2-3. Freedom lost 41-18 in their recent league test against Heritage (Brentwood, CA)
