Washington High School Basketball - Northport can't hold off Columbia
January 4, 2020: Hunters, WA 99137 The Columbia Lions basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Northport Mustangs to 50 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley Christian for a 1B Northeast contest on Tuesday, January 7. Columbia will battle a Panthers team coming off a 56-39 league loss to Almira-Coulee-Hartline (Coulee City, WA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-2.
The Mustangs (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Selkirk (Ione, WA). The Rangers come into the 1B Northeast contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Selkirk edged Entiat (Entiat, WA), 63-25, in a non-league contest.
