In Friday's league match, the host Thornton Wildcats football squad scored a big 49-7 victory over the Rich Central Olympians.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL) in a Southland match, on Saturday, October 26. Thornton will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a 5-3 record after their 21-14 non-league loss to Chicago Hope Academy (Chicago, IL).
