Juniata Valley Hornets (Alexandria, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host MMI Preparatory School (Freeland, PA), 6-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Juniata Valley upgrades its record to 17-5 on the season. The Hornets travel to Halifax (Halifax, PA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league test on Monday, June 14. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 13-11. Halifax won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Tri-Valley (Hegins, PA)

With the defeat, MMI Preparatory School falls to 14-9 on the season.
