The York Dukes (Elmhurst, IL) football edged the host Schaumburg Saxons (Schaumburg, IL), 16-13 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Dukes face the Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL) in a West Suburban - Gold bout, on Friday, September 6. York will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Mustangs enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 13-12 non-league loss to Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL).

The Saxons (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Wheeling (Wheeling, IL). The Wildcats enter the non-league bout with a 0-1 record.
