Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Robertson Cardinals (Las Vegas, NM), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Benson for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9. Cobre will battle a Bobcats squad coming off a 18-3 non-league win over Robertson (Las Vegas, NM). The Bobcats record now stands at 6-0.

With the loss, Robertson falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Cobre (Bayard, NM) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Cobre won 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Robertson (Las Vegas, NM)
