Missouri High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon tops Marshfield
February 5, 2019: Marshfield, MO 65706 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Mountaineers (Mt. Vernon, MO) and the host Marshfield Bluejays (Marshfield, MO), saw Mt. Vernon's basketball squad knock off Marshfield by a count of 67-58.
With the victory, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 19-8 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Springfield Catholic (Springfield, MO) to play the Fighting Irish in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 8. The Fighting Irish come into the challenge with a record of 21-3. Springfield Catholic won 79-36 in their recent league challenge against Aurora (Aurora, MO)
Next up, the Bluejays play the Hollister Tigers (Hollister, MO) in a Big 8 challenge, on Friday, February 8. Marshfield will attempt to upgrade on its 11-12 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 37-31 non-league win over School of the Ozarks (Point Lookout, MO).
