January 5, 2019: Naples, FL 34116 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Wharton Wildcats (Tampa, FL) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Golden Gate Titans (Naples, FL), by a margin of 99-65.
The Wildcats (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against Plant (Tampa, FL). The Panthers go into the 8A District 8 outing with a 7-7 record. In their last outing, Plant smashed Clearwater Central Catholic (Clearwater, FL), 61-49, in a non-league outing.
The Titans now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Palmetto Ridge for a 7A District 12 outing on Tuesday, January 8. Golden Gate will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 52-49 non-league win over Sunset (Miami, FL). The Bears record now stands at 3-7.
