Mississippi High School Basketball - Noxubee County holds off Houston
January 15, 2021: Macon, MS 39341 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Noxubee County Tigers (Macon, MS) and the visiting Houston Hilltoppers (Houston, MS), saw Noxubee County's basketball squad hold off Houston by a tally of 56-54.
With the victory, Noxubee County improves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host West Lowndes (Columbus, MS) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 16. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. West Lowndes lost 83-53 in their recent non-league challenge against New Hope (Columbus, MS)
Next up, the Hilltoppers confront the Booneville Blue Devils (Booneville, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 18. Houston will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 85-75 league win over Alcorn Central (Glen, MS).
