October 17, 2008: Fulton, IL 61252 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Fulton Steamers (Fulton, IL) and the visiting St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL), observed Fulton's football squad thwart St. Bede by a count of 14-6.
The Steamers now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Morrison for a Big Rivers contest on Friday, October 24. Fulton will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 49-10 league win over Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-2.
Coming up next, the Bruins play the Midland/Henry-Senachwine/Lowpoint-Washburn Timberwolves (Varna, IL) in a Big Rivers contest, on Friday, October 24. St. Bede will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Timberwolves go into the contest with a 0-8 record after their 63-20 league loss to Riverdale (Port Byron, IL).
