Pinson Valley Indians (Pinson, AL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host McAdory Yellowjackets (McCalla, AL), 78-74 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pinson Valley upgrades its record to 18-0 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Fairfield (Fairfield, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 11-4. Fairfield lost 72-66 in their recent league bout against Wenonah (Birmingham, AL)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Ramsay Rams (Birmingham, AL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. McAdory will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 67-61 non-league win over Scottsboro (Scottsboro, AL).
