The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Austintown-Fitch Falcons (Youngstown, OH) and the host Erie Royals (Erie, PA), observed Austintown-Fitch's football squad thwart Erie by a tally of 48-26.

The Falcons now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Ursuline for a non-league contest on Friday, September 6. Austintown-Fitch will play a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 52-26 non-league loss to Benedictine (Cleveland, OH). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Royals play the St. Francis Red Raiders (Hamburg, NY) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 6. Erie will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record.
