The Kirby Cougars tipped the visiting Melrose Golden Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 73-71 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Houston Mustangs (Germantown, TN) in a AAA District 15 game, on Monday, December 1. Kirby will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Mustangs enter the game with a 2-0 record after their 79-77 non-league win over Bolton (Arlington, TN).
