December 18, 2018: Cottondale, AL 35453 The Paul W. Bryant Stampede (Cottondale, AL) basketball knocked off the visiting Bessemer City Tigers (Bessemer, AL), 52-42 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Stampede (3-11) will now prepare for their test against Holt (Holt, AL). The Ironmen go into the non-league test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Holt went down by Sipsey Valley (Buhl, AL), 36-34, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Hueytown for a 6A Area 9 test on Tuesday, January 15. Bessemer City will encounter a Golden Gophers squad coming off a 63-46 non-league loss to Brookwood (Brookwood, AL). The Golden Gophers record now stands at 1-14.
