The Amherst Broncos basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons to 21 in the Broncos league triumph on Saturday.

The Broncos now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elwood for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 22. Amherst will battle a Pirates team coming off a 64-20 league loss to Loomis (Loomis, NE). The Pirates record now stands at 4-10.

The Falcons (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Silver Lake (Roseland, NE). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Silver Lake ran past Red Cloud (Red Cloud, NE), 43-37, in a league contest.
