South Carolina High School Soccer - Berkeley held off by James Island
April 12, 2019: Charleston, SC 29412 The crowd at Friday's league test between the James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC) and the visiting Berkeley Stags (Moncks Corner, SC), saw James Island's soccer squad get by Berkeley by a count of 2-1.
The Trojans now hold a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop England for a non-league test on Monday, April 15. James Island will meet a Battling Bishops squad coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Battling Bishops record now stands at 18-3.
With the loss, Berkeley drops to 8-8 on the season. The Stags travel to Cane Bay (Summerville, SC) to meet the Cobras in a AAAAA Region VII test on Monday, April 22. The Cobras come into the test with a record of 5-7. Cane Bay won 8-0 in their recent league test against Stratford (Goose Creek, SC)
