The Lanier Poets football squad scored 35 points and restricted the visiting Park Crossing Thunderbirds to 28 in the Poets league victory on Friday.

The Poets now possess a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson Davis for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 27. Lanier will face a Volunteers squad coming off a 51-23 league loss to Auburn (Auburn, AL). The Volunteers record now stands at 0-4.

Coming up next, the Thunderbirds face the Central Red Devils (Phenix City, AL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 28. Park Crossing will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Red Devils enter the battle with a 5-0 record after their 28-0 non-league win over Opelika (Opelika, AL).
