Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA) and the visiting Granite Hills Eagles (El Cajon, CA), saw Monte Vista's basketball squad wallop Granite Hills by a tally of 55-11.

With the victory, Monte Vista improves its record to 9-12 on the campaign. The Monarchs travel to Valhalla (El Cajon, CA) to play the Norsemen in a Grossmont - Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 22. The Norsemen come into the challenge with a record of 7-13. Valhalla won 47-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Santana (Santee, CA)
